Join Nirel for a 3-hour virtual training, Holding Space with Heart: The CARES Framework, designed for yoga teachers, therapists, educators, caregivers, community leaders, and anyone who supports others. This workshop offers a practical and compassionate approach to creating spaces that feel grounded, thoughtful, and responsive to the real needs of the people in front of you. Through guided reflection, embodied practice, discussion, and a hands-on design activity, you will learn how to build sessions that are rooted in values, attuned to emotions, supported by clear boundaries, and flexible when needs shift. Whether you lead yoga classes, support groups, workshops, classrooms, or community gatherings, this training is meant to help you hold space with more confidence, care, and sustainability. It is a warm and accessible experience for anyone who wants to support others without losing themselves in the process. Continuing education credits are available for therapists and yoga teachers.

  • This training is designed for:

    • Yoga teachers

    • Therapists and other helping professionals

    • Educators and school-based staff

    • Caregivers and support group leaders

    • Community leaders, mentors, and facilitators

    • Anyone who regularly holds space for others in classes, workshops, groups, or community settings

    It is especially supportive for people who want to create spaces that feel grounded, thoughtful, and responsive while also caring for their own sustainability.

  • This training provides 3 Yoga Alliance CEUs and a certificate of completion to yoga teachers.

    Upon completion of this course, 3 CE credits for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and LCSWs will be available for those licensed in California.

    This course meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Chay Tanchanco, LMFT is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs (CEPA 10003152). Chay Tanchanco, LMFT maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.

    To receive CEUs, you must attend the full live presentation. If you miss any portion of the live event, you will not be eligible for CEUs. A recording of the virtual event will be available afterward, but CEUs cannot be awarded for watching the replay.

 

Fundraiser Sliding Scale Pricing

This training is offered as a fundraiser to support future community wellness events and programming.

Participants are invited to choose the amount that aligns with their capacity. Higher-tier contributions help support community offerings and scholarship access. After all workshop costs are paid, the remaining proceeds will go to the Therapin*y Bay Area Chapter.

About your trainer:

Nirel is a second-generation Filipino-American wellness entrepreneur, yoga teacher, and rest advocate who helps people create more grounded, compassionate, and sustainable ways of supporting themselves and others. Through her work in Restorative Yoga, sound healing, breath, and cultural wellness practices, she brings a heartfelt and practical approach to nervous system care, emotional attunement, and intentional space-holding. Her own journey through burnout, imposter syndrome, mental fatigue, and depression shaped her belief that true wellness is about tending to the mind, body, and spirit with care.

In this training, Nirel draws from both personal experience and years of teaching to offer an accessible framework for yoga teachers, educators, therapists, caregivers, and community facilitators who want to hold space with more clarity, confidence, and heart. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is passionate about making rest and healing feel real, relational, and possible for diverse communities.
